Two sizes, oneperfect cup
Everything you need to know about Menstrual cup
How does a menstrual cup work?
The cup is inserted into the vagina, where it collects menstrual blood. Once inserted, it creates a gentle seal, allowing it to sit snugly against the vaginal walls and prevent leaks. Because it is made from medical-grade silicone, which is gentle and body-safe, the collected blood remains clean and odour-free. If you have a very heavy flow, we recommend using period underwear or a pantyliner during the first days of your period for extra peace of mind.
How do I choose the right cup size?
We designed the Whoop·de·doo Menstrual Cup in two sizes, which you can purchase separately or together in the better-value Duo Pack. You can alternate between the two sizes throughout your cycle, depending on what feels most comfortable for you. For the beginning of your period, we recommend the Classic cup, while the Light cup is ideal for the final, lighter days of your cycle.
Light is designed for women and girls with a strong pelvic floor who are accustomed to using smaller menstrual products, such as smaller tampons. It is ideal for lighter-flow days.
Classic is suitable for heavier flow or the first days of your period. It is also a good choice for women who have given birth vaginally and for those who usually use larger tampons.
If you are unsure which option is right for you, feel free to contact us.
How do I use the cup?
When inserted correctly, you can wear the cup throughout your day — while sleeping, exercising, swimming and going about your usual activities.
The easiest way to insert it is in a squat, ideally in the shower or bath, or with one foot resting on the toilet seat. Fold the cup into a “flower” shape and let it “bloom” once inserted into the vagina. Then run a finger around the cup to check that it has fully opened and is sitting snugly against the vaginal wall. When you want to empty the cup, squat down again. First locate the small ball at the base, then gently squeeze the entire lower part of the cup where the ridges are. This releases the seal between the cup and the vaginal wall, allowing you to remove it easily.
Then simply empty the cup, rinse it and reinsert it. For easier handling, we recommend moistening your fingers before insertion or removal.
Do not pull the cup out by the ball alone, as this may cause the contents to spill.

If you choose the Duo Pack, you can alternate between the two cup sizes throughout your period, depending on what feels most comfortable for you.
Why is a menstrual cup a better choice than tampons or pads?
When inserted correctly, you can barely feel a menstrual cup and can comfortably go about your day – sleeping, exercising, travelling or swimming. Because it collects menstrual blood inside the body, you don’t have to deal with the feeling of dampness, sweating or the discomfort often associated with pads. The blood also remains inside the cup and does not come into contact with air, helping to prevent unwanted odour. Throughout your period, you can enjoy a greater sense of cleanliness, freshness and freedom.
Unlike a tampon, a menstrual cup does not absorb blood – it simply collects it, so it does not dry out the vaginal mucosa. When swimming, it also does not absorb water, and there is no string showing. It is discreet, reusable and barely noticeable when worn.
That is exactly why a menstrual cup is an ideal summer companion – under your swimsuit, at the seaside, in the pool or while travelling.
How should I care for my menstrual cup?
The Whoop·de·doo Menstrual cup is made from non-porous medical-grade silicone, making it 100% hygienic and very easy to care for.
After your period, wash the cup thoroughly and remove any traces of menstrual blood. For hygienic cleaning, pour hot water over it or boil it briefly. You can also use our Whoop·de·doo Cleaning Spray – leave it on for a few seconds, then rinse thoroughly with drinking water.
Once clean and dry, store the cup in the clean fabric pouch included in the packaging.
