Studio Anna Marešová designers has expanded by another floor after nine years. On this occasion, designer Anna Marešová presented not only plans for her brand of intimate aids for women Whoop·de·doo or Lanovka na Petřín, but also a unique selection of paintings by artist Lukáš Musil alias Musa.
Anna Marešová and Lukáš Musil have already collaborated in the past on a limited edition of vibrators Whoop·de·doo Musa edition. Now they have once again shown how collaboration between a designer and an artist can work. Both of them are united by a sense of sustainability, a moderate way of life and avoid flamboyance.

"I enjoyed choosing Lukáš's paintings completely intuitively, one could say non-curatorically, and so some that would never have met in a classic gallery came together. I think they suit them better here than in a public gallery space. I believe that Lukáš feels the same way," comments Marešová.
,,The paintings that we and Anička chose to the first floor, they have no ambition to be admired for their technical execution or intellectual content, but desire for a perceptive observer. I believe that it is not important to look, but to see," adds designer Lukáš Musil.

Anna Marešová, who is known for her interest in truly sustainable design, chose a minimalistic design for her new studio and a modest style that still feels luxurious. For most of the interior, the designer used materials or objects from the bazaars. In combination with new elements, she created a calm atmosphere in the middle of the city, which, as she says, was necessary after so many years when she "sat in the shop window" (her original studio is located on the ground floor with windows to the street).

"We have a lot of work ahead of us, new projects and Whoop·de·doo products, and all of this will require calmness and concentration on work. Thanks to the new space, I'm really looking forward to it all." Described by Marešová, who last year and her team won the competition for the design of the cable car on Petřín.
The entire opening had a very calm, Zen-like quality. During the event, Anna Marešová also mentioned how important it is for her to have an atmosphere that is not created by being overwhelmed, but rather by the fact that the less things you have around you, the better your life is. Paintings now expand the new studio space with a strong emotional dimension. Artist Lukáš Musil believes that the true meaning of painting is not decorative beauty, but truth. "Truth has only one function, and that is to achieve the essence," quotes the famous Chinese painter Shitao.

The grand opening of the new studio of designer Anna Marešová took place on the last evening of August at Kamenická Street in Prague 7, where the studio and the brand Whoop·de·doo already resides for nine years. The need to slow down, create space for thinking, creating and getting closer to the essence is also captured by the name of the RAW ZEN event.
